Born in Baghdad, the family fled to Abu Dhabi before being forced to flee again. Arrived into the UK and studied for a masters in International Studies and diplomacy. Had a 'feminist awakening' and embraced activism from a feminist perspective, leading national campaigns and activism around gender equality, oppression and racism.

What is your story of hopefulness (not your own) about a person, business or non-profit who are doing amazing things for the world?
The Al-Ayn Foundation in Baghdad care and support over 60,000 orphaned children and bring joy through creating toy shops.

As we prepare to re-enter, what insight, wisdom or question would you like to share with us?
We are so powerful together, and we can make a change. All it takes is for people, ordinary people, to stand up and say, I'm not having that; who wants to help me to change things.
