Episode Summary
Q1: Place
If we could do a flypast on any part of the world that is significant to you, which place, city or country would it be and why?
Singapore as the place of birth
Q2: Life
Give us a glimpse into your life story so far with an emphasis on what you are doing currently?
My life story is in seven year cycles. First three cycles lead up to university and then the next cycle took me into the world of Social Work, Social Policy, and working with young people and complex families. The end of that cycle took me into the world of business and social enterprise and social innovation. I've had the privilege of working alongside some brilliant people trying to do systems change work with large corporates, often bridging that with the work of social entrepreneurs.
Q3: Reset
Where on earth is your place or reset or re-charge?
To connect with my deepest self, my deepest desires, my deepest fears, but also my closest relationships and kind of try and ground them what's most important.
Q4: Wonder
What wonder of the natural world excites you the most?
A type of cauliflower called the romanesco cauliflower
Q5: Hopefulness
What is your story of hopefulness (not your own) about a person, business or non-profit who are doing amazing things for the world?
A collective called Possible Futures, a collective of women from across the global south. I'm just completely in awe of what they do.
Q6: Insight
As we prepare to re-enter, what insight, wisdom or question would you like to share with us?
What new seeds am I planting and what roots am I growing deeply? What systems am I maintaining and what am I letting go of?
