I'm a retired Palliative care clinician and the Director of Compassionate Communties. How do we make death, dying, loss and caregiving everyone's responsibility? The business of social connection needs to be embedded into our lives and our health care.

Walking the dogs on the cliffs of Cornwall

What wonder of the natural world excites you the most?
The meeting place between the land the sea. There is something so elemental about it.

What is your story of hopefulness (not your own) about a person, business or non-profit who are doing amazing things for the world?
We can find hope in each one of us. We have survived as humanity through care and compassion. Every single human being has capacity for empathy and compassion. If you want to lead a long life it's all about connection and relationships.

As we prepare to re-enter, what insight, wisdom or question would you like to share with us?
Every single one of us can add to the universe by making use of our compassionate potential.
