Episode Summary
Q1: Place
If we could do a flypast on any part of the world that is significant to you, which place, city or country would it be and why?
Senegal in Africa
Q2: Life
Give us a glimpse into your life story so far with an emphasis on what you are doing currently?
So I'm a flute player primarily. That's my job. I am at the Lion King in London, in the Lyceum for my bread and butter, but aside from that, I record and tour with lots of different artists, the likes of Peter Gabriel, Robbie Williams, Paul McCartney, that kind of person that's equally enjoyable. I also play lots of film soundtracks. Coming to the present I formed a Community Interest Company called Freedom to Roam, where we curate new music, new documentaries, new artwork, and it's all to do with empowering positive solutions, focusing on lots of things that need to be done, but with a optimistic outlook through music and art.
Q3: Reset
Where on earth is your place or reset or re-charge?
The Hebrides in Scotland
Q4: Wonder
What wonder of the natural world excites you the most?
The Mother Tree book by Suzanne Simard
Q5: Hopefulness
What is your story of hopefulness (not your own) about a person, business or non-profit who are doing amazing things for the world?
My person is Alan Watson Featherstone who in 1986 founded the award-winning conservation charity, Trees for Life, which works to restore the Caledonian Forest in the Scottish Highlands.
Q6: Insight
As we prepare to re-enter, what insight, wisdom or question would you like to share with us?
Dare to imagine and dare to believe that through whatever your medium is, we can all make changes. We can all implement changes or we can all help one another with whatever our work is, or whatever we believe in.
