Episode Summary
Q1: Place
If we could do a flypast on any part of the world that is significant to you, which place, city or country would it be and why?
Ghana, West Africa
Q2: Life
Give us a glimpse into your life story so far with an emphasis on what you are doing currently?
I grew up in Sweden in a multilingual home so early on in life I had a passion for languages, for meeting different people and travelling the world. I developed a passion for culture and learning new things, and moved to New York at 19 to study fashion with a desire to bridge the gap between fashion and international business. Today I run an International Business Development Department in a fashion company. I'm also on the board of Vegan Fashion Week who champion young designers that are trying to find better ways to make product.
Q3: Reset
Where on earth is your place or reset or re-charge?
My place of reset is in Malmo where I was born and raised
Q4: Wonder
What wonder of the natural world excites you the most?
The Northern Lights in Norway
Q5: Hopefulness
What is your story of hopefulness (not your own) about a person, business or non-profit who are doing amazing things for the world?
Nana Eyeson-Akiwowo who is the co-founder of Fourth Phase, a brand that supports women after they give birth. And as a mother now to a five year old, I had no idea how rocky the road was going to be, and how little people speak of the fourth phase, which is when the baby comes, how challenging life is, how much you need to adjust and how your body changes. Fourth phase has a line of products to help rebuild a woman's body after having birth but the best part about fourth phase is the community where you can connect with other mothers.
Q6: Insight
As we prepare to re-enter, what insight, wisdom or question would you like to share with us?
To find comfort in the unknown. I have learned over the years to just lean into the unknown and to not be so fearful of what I don't know
